In many workplaces, portable electrical appliances and equipment must be tested and inspected on a regular basis. Having the necessary skills to do this is essential in certain workplace roles.
This course is designed for non-electrical tradespeople. It will give you hands-on training in the skills, knowledge and certification you need to be able to test, inspect, tag and keep records for portable electrical equipment.
Note: You may need to buy a continuity and insulation resistance tester (or leakage current tester) and safety switch tester to perform this work, depending on the type of equipment being tested. This equipment is available from electrical wholesalers.
On successful completion, you will receive a card that confirms your Testing and Tagging of Portable Electrical Equipment qualification.
This short course does not include accredited units and training.
