Molly O’Brien: Turning Her Gap Year into a Launchpad for a Teaching Career

I accepted a traineeship in education support at Monivae College as I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn skills that would benefit me when I start a teaching degree at university.
I love that every day is different in education support. There is always a new challenge or something else to learn. I’ve learnt how to adapt different teaching and communication styles for different students which has been invaluable.
I found the training really good, our teacher was really supportive and made the process of studying easy. They were always happy to answer any questions I had.
The traineeship has given me an insight into what it’s like to be a teacher and has really cemented my decision to study the Bachelor of Sport, Physical and Outdoor Education next year in Ballarat.
