Course Overview
Introduction

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the means by which electrical licence holders can maintain, improve, broaden and enhance their knowledge skills and competence.   

The Skills Maintenance training will be specific to every class of licence, and will be mandatory for every electrical licence held.

This course provides the manadated professional development required by Energy Safe Victoria before renewal of your Electrical Licence.

Course Requirements
Entrance requirements & pre-requisites

Training must be undertaking within a 2 year period of Licence expiring.

For this course, you will need to:

  • provide photo ID to the trainer on the first day of the course
  • bring a pen and paper

For your practical class:

  • provide your REL Electrical Licence credentials
  • bring a multi meter/volt meter
  • bring a digital or analogue IRC tester
  • bring basic hand tools
  • bring a LOTO kit for isolation/disconnect/reconnect
  • wear long pants
  • Long sleeve top
  • wear enclosed footwear
  • bring safety eyewear
  • bring electrical gloves (recommended)

How do I pay for the short course?

There are three simple steps when applying for a course with us. 

  1. Book – you can book and pay for your place online via the book now button.  A tax invoice/receipt is automatically emailed to you upon payment.
  2. Confirmation – you will receive an email confirming the date, time and location of the course. 
  3. Attend and complete the short course - 100% attendance of the short course is required. Upon successful completion and within 30 days of the short course, you will be sent a Certificate of Attendance.
